About RisingCon

Our Mission

RisingCon exists to make it simple for young adults to discover, attend, and organise conventions — whether they are multi-day retreats, single-day gatherings, or anything in between. We believe that real-world community experiences have a lasting impact, and we want to remove every barrier that stands between an idea and a thriving event.

Background

RisingCon was born out of a desire to serve young adult communities across Europe. The platform was founded and is actively developed by Dorus Ammon Blanken, operating under ITheodorus, as an independent project.

While our roots are connected to the young adult convention culture within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Europe, RisingCon is an independent platform with no official affiliation with Rising Generation Europe or the Church. Our long-term goal is collaboration — but we are proud to serve a broader community in the meantime.
